Camp Activity for Tuesday

We've got a very busy day ahead of us ... so today's update will be a "here's what's coming today" message, instead of a "here's what happened" message. Your kids will be having a FABULOUS time while you're toiling away at work!

Team Carpenter started their day with another big breakfast (sausage, biscuits, scrambled eggs, pancakes, cereal, bananas & apples, hash browns) and a couple of ROUSING versions of the birthday song for their teammate Pete!

On today's schedule:

- a briefing entitled "Expedition Living"

- the 5 DF simulator (allows the counselor to help the trainee move in 5 of the 6 directions they could move in space)

- a briefing on Mars exploration

- their first mission to the ISS

- a spin on the Multi-Axis Trainer

- launching their rockets

- briefings on "Why Space?", telescopes, the beginnings of the shuttle program, and the Skylab/Apollo missions

- an interactive, experiment based class on "Strange Science"

- "The Dream is Alive" IMAX movie

I think most of the kids got a much better night of sleep last night! We awoke to sun this morning, and are looking forward to a BEAUTIFUL day!
