The group was a whole lot more alert to start the day after a little sleep. We had a bus tour with a local guide to start the day as we drove around Kensington, Westminster, and London.
The highlight of the tour was climbing the dome of St. Paul's. The kids looked like the 10th Mountain Division climbing steep stairs all the way to the top.
Next we travelled to Buckingham Palace to watch the Changing of the Guard and then had a picnic in St. James Park. We strolled through Green Park to the Tube.
The afternoon found us in the British Museum where we saw the Rosetta Stone and the Elgin Marbles. Most of the group then went shopping on Oxford street and then we entered Westminster Abbey to listen to their world renowned choir. We walked over the graves of Charles Darwin and Isaac Newton. It was fun to see the gravity of the situation make the kids evolve.
We then went to dinner in Covent Garden where kids ate traditional British food like Wild Boar bangers and mash and meat pies. The dinner was exceptional and it seemed like everyone loved the world's most hated cuisine.
We ended the night by strolling through Leicester and Piccadilly Circus.
Spirits remain high and we steal, I mean see, the Crown jewels tomorrow at the Tower of London and then we are off to Paris.
