As we were driving to the soccer fields we could see the lights from miles away, Wil said,"Now to a soccer player that is a more beautiful sight than a sunset!" We tied last night 3-3, it was a gut buster since we seemed to be on the wrong end of several bad calls and there was some controversy with the other teams parents touching our player when he was throwing the ball in. Wil was also very upset that one goal was a penalty kick on a foul and the other was a kid who was clearly off sides by 10 feet (really hate teenage sideline refs in big tournament games). Also it was 27 degrees out, the game didn't start until 9:45 (15 minutes late) and with 9 minutes to go the lights went out! We had to wait 15 minutes in the freezing cold for the computer to reboot the lights on the field. Wil
had several amazing saves and we try to remind ourselves that we come to BIG tournaments to play good competition. He beats himself up over every goal, but still keeps his team pumped up and in the game. Game today at noon and then we will see if we qualify for the championship.
