Beautiful October weather

I'm so afraid it is going to be wet and cold for Halloween but we have had beautiful weather all month!!!

First paid job

Well it's official he mowed Bushia's yard for cash all by himself! He is SO proud of himself!

Crazy hair again

That time of year again! William had crazy hair day for school today and he went with the tiny ponytails and pink hair spray!! He is crazy confident :)!

And on that note, I should say that he got straight A's in school this quarter!! WTG Wil!

Kristen 45!!!!

Kristen had her final cross country race on Wednesday! Her goal for the year was to finish in the top 50 (out of 150) and SHE DID IT! About half way she was 62 and she said to herself that she had to start passing runners and she counted 1,2,3,4.... And she finished 45!!! Wow wow wow!!! She said her coach gave her a pep talk before the race about never quitting, no matter if you think you're gonna puke, just tell yourself you're not a wimp your stronger than the girl in front of you! She ran the whole way and her time was 16:36!!! That's about an 8 minute mile!! Yipee!!!

Rams game

Kate had an amazing day at the Ram's game! She left at 8am to tailgate and got home about 5pm! Had a fabulous time with the Morton's. Best part she said were the sacks! She has little voice left! And the Ram's won!!!

Growth spurt

Kristen had a major growth spurt this month! She is catching up to her dad!

News

Kristen was on channel 4 news this week supporting our school district!

Cheer

Kj cheered Saturday for the football game. The cheerleaders do crunches for every point scored for our team. So first points were 8=8 crunches for girls. They did 8, then 16, then 24, 31, 39, and then 47!!! LoL, it was awesome!

Cutting grass

Wil had his first try at actually cutting the grass today. He negotiated a 5$ charge with a 1$ tip, although I said it is just another chore! Our yard is so hilly and just plain hard to cut. I walked with him the whole way and had to help out a dozen or so times but he did a really great job. He even dumped the bag 3 times. I love this pic as the mower looks so much bigger than him! I also noticed that the boy likes to cut in curves! Not a straight line in the yard, but hey it's cut and Chris didn't have to do it! Oh and this mower is NOT self propelled so he got a work out! Nice job William!

Parochial

Kristen tied 2-2 tonight. We really could have used Kate, but only one more week until she is back! Kj played awesome and in her own words,"wow, I am in the best shape of my life! Cross country is amazing! I was running up and down the field, sprinting from one end to the other and I still feel great! I could play a whole nother soccer game!" yup, I think she is addicted to the exercise bug! Nice hustle girl!

Play

Took Kj to see "There's Something about being Earnest" at the high school. Former students and her friends were in the show. They did a great job!

Cross country again

Wow! Kj is doing amazing! This time at Jefferson Barrack's, which is the 3rd hardest course in MO! Nice job!

Spring or fall?

She shoots! She scores!

Kristen had an awesome game tonight for parochial! She scored a beautiful goal on a center cross! Great way to finish KJ! In the last few minutes she went down hard and all I could think of was if we have another broken bone in this family I am going to cry! Looks like a bad bruise right below her ankle, ouch!

Cheer

Kristen had a long game to cheer for today! She got her prep! Woot Woot! Way to go Kj!

Wonder of technology

Sitting at Kristen's game and posting to the blog about Wil's tournament and I don't have a picture and voilà dad texts me one :)! Here is Wil's team from last weekends tournament! WTG Squids!

Night games

Wil is back in full swing at soccer won both games this week and again this morning! Last weekend they took second in the tournament. Gotta get the pic from dad!

Prop L

Our school district is facing a financial crisis. As everyone knows last year was very disheartening and upseting for those that lost their jobs and those, like me, who were reassigned to other positions. We are asking our voters for a tax rate raise this November. Our district has not had a true tax rate increase since 1990, 20 years! I am going to restrain from giving my personal, very loud and definite opinions, but I will leave it to say that I have made blind phone calls to unregistered voters who have children in our schools and I have made personal knocks on doors and will do so every Saturday from now until the election. Just ask me in person how I feel about our school district and the teachers who provide the very best education in the state! My beautiful daughter, Kristen, volunteered to be in a video to inform voters! I am super proud of my civicly responsible girl! Kristen cc

Kristen was awesome in her second cross country race! The course was super hard with lots of hills and a huge uphill at the finish! The race ended shortly after this picture, up on the track. You can see Kristen starting to kick it into high gear, the kid has an amazing finish. She chased down several runner one at a full sprint at the finish line with the whole crowd going wild! It was sooooo fun! Now the coaches want her for track! "Who da thunk" she would have gas to kick it into high gear after 2 miles! Super proud of you baby!!!

Medieval times

William is working hard in his gifted class on Medieval times. He just accepted a position as a knight and is developing his Fief.
