It was a good day for this girl who conquered 13 years at Lindbergh! She is finally closing that chapter of her life and beginning the next book at Mizzou... Can't wait for the memories.

Championship game vs Cup was a winner! A quick recap... It was a hard fought battle the refs were in charge of the game pretty quickly. We had played them in the fall and they tied us even though though one of their players got ejected with a red card, we had a few injured players that game too but we knew they weren't intimidated by us. They also have three kids well over six foot. Their main scorer was a very athletic tall and fast black kid, Issac, who they send often to the box and he can score from anywhere. We did a great job possessing the ball the first half and they had a few runs at us, nothing serious. We could not finish balls which we all knew was nerves but also gave us horrible flash backs of last year's regional final where we could not score anything even in double overtime and not even one PK scored last year! Our first goal came when Tristan took a run to the goal and at about the 8 yard line he got taken down from behind. Bradley scored the Pk easily to the right side. In the second half CUP turned up the heat with several shots on goal. Numerous fouls were called and eventually a few yellows were called. CUP scored on a textbook cross where once again our defenders were not running on the goal, but bodies standing everywhere and they ran up one the goal for a backside score. Wil had a few saves that gave us some spark but we knew nothing was easy. 1-1 battle until almost the last minute of the game when after a few strikes the goal ended up making a save and then we hit the rebound in the goal and their defender kicked it out BUT he was inside the goal and the linesman called it a goal! About a minute later the whistle was blown and we won 2-1

Happy Father's Day to this proud dad! Huge win over the regional and national champs WAZA 2-1. The other team came out and scored on us with a textbook cross in the first 20 seconds of the game. Not the start we needed. Game was physical and fast. We scored when John hit a PK from the 30! Perfect over the goalies head shot right before half. Then 30 seconds later on a cross Grant scores and halftime whistle blows. Held off LOTS of attacks in the second half. Wil had huge saves. He punched out two balls that were certain goals, and effortlessly snagged very dangerous crosses. He took out a few players but this team was not afraid on one cross he snagged the ball and three of their players ended up on their backs inside our goal. He made everyone proud.
Game one of regionals winner 7-1. Crazy we scored in first 20 seconds of the game and never looked back. They took Wil out at half when it was 5-0 and the other goalie let in a quick goal, but we got our heads back and finished two more goals. 7-1 beating the state champs from Indiana who have an impressive resume was unexpected and glorious! The party went late
