Happy New Year!

Successful day at the mall, otter box phone covers purchased for the girls phones! Now a 9:30 soccer game for Kristen!    

The whole family came to see Kate's soccer tournament! Winner 7-6, Kate and her whole team had a great game!! This is Angelina, Colin's girlfriend from China. She is a yoga instructor and the girls are super excited to do yoga!

Crazy Kate played goalie in her second game of the day. She actually had a few impressive saves (when she remembered to use her hands ;)! They won big 12-0. First game was a bit closer but still a winner. Indoor league is over and she came home with a first place medal! Great job Kate!!

Kate's soccer sleepover Christmas party was a success!! She got a new jacket and headband from her secret Santa.

Crazy day of soccer for Wil on Sunday. His team lost again in Futsol. They are learning that their speed doesn't work on the tiny court! He had another great game. I know his team will figure this game out soon!

My girls basketball team traveled to parkway west. Well travelled is an understatement since the crazy bus driver got lost and wouldn't listen to me or my phone until she pulled up in front of the wrong school!!  So needless to say we arrived only 20 min before game time. AND then what is on the giant wall of the gym but a sign from Chris' store supporting the OTHER team! WTW!! Lol!! The girls and I got a big kick out of it an then beat their team! Winner Lindbergh!!

Kate's first show choir performance today! She looks adorable and sounds beautiful. She has two performances today and then two more Monday night. 

Early morning soccer game for Wil. It was a tough 1-2 loss for him. They were missing two players and playing against the team that they beat in penalty kicks in the outdoor tournament. Needless to say the other team and parents came ready for a battle. Not sure we even had a dozen shots on goal...but poor Wil had to have made at LEAST 40 saves and a dozen that were just simply amazing. His poor knees are beat up from the hard gym floor, we need to get some volleyball knee pads! I've never seen him sweat so much or touch the ball soooo many times as a goalie! 

Kate went to a dress up birthday party last night! Can you pick her out! Can't believe all her friends are turning 13!

This is what happens when your nieces visit! Reminded me of when my kids were little and Kate and Wil would destroy the manger and Wil would put baby Jesus in his mouth! Kristen would always fix it as everyone had their proper place to stand!

Birthday boy! 11 in 2011! Wow Wil! You make me laugh and drive me crazy every day! I love the endless questions you ask and your unique interpretation on the world! 

They're not little anymore but they still sit in the hallway like they are :)

Happy St Nicholas Day! Wil and Kate were up at 5:45am sitting by our door talking and laughing like they were 3&4! Finally woke Kristen and dad up at 6:00. The usual Santa, snowman and nutcracker collectibles made their way to their shoes as well as candy, magazines, and socks. The kids happily laid in the front hallway and looked at all their stuff. No little "believers" in our house, but very happy and appreciative kids who were tickled to keep this tradition alive!

Freezing cold rainy day...sounds perfect for a first city-county championship! Winner 1-0! Wil wanted this so much, I can't tell you how happy I am for him and his team.

Our token picture for the crazy day! Yes it is 11:40 PM and Kristen is getting ready to start her first indoor soccer game!! We started the morning at 7am with Kate having show choir. Then Wil winning the semi finals of CYC city-county. Then Kate's pompon competition. I went and worked 5 hours at scottrade concession stand. Chris dj a wedding. The kids went to the mall and dinner with Bushia. And now it is almost midnight and we are at indoor soccer!!! Busy much?!?! Game at 8am in the morning too! Yikes!! Still NO lights on my Christmas tree! Sigh....

Semifinal game for Wil's CYC! Go St Paul! This is his first time going for a city-county championship, he was ready to go last night!

If I would have remembered to take a picture you would have seen Kate playing soccer at 8pm last night in the freezing cold. It was her parochial team (6-8 th graders not so good), but she loves playing anyway! They lost 0-2 to a team stacked with select 8th grade players. But Kate played an amazing amazing game. Love watching her play soccer but really think I may burst with pride when she's a superstar. Stinks that this was the semi finals match on the way to the championship, but like Kate says, we'll kick their butt next year when those 8th graders aren't there anymore!

Also Kristen had her show choir concert on Thursday night and sang and danced lots of Christmas tunes! The whole evening was very nice with wonderful singing. It put everyone in the Christmas spirit! The choir sang every traditional Christmas tune you can think of! I loved it! The all girls choir sang "Mary did you know" acapella and it was vey powerful for high school voices! Sometimes in the stress of the season wondering how to pay for everything it is nice to remember the real reason for the season.

Busy weekend for the Ohler kids, let's hope I take pictures!

Wil's first time back at sports since his surgery 3 weeks ago! Playing in the city-county tournament! Freezing cold but he played awesome! WINNER! on to the next round! Gotta love outdoor soccer in December!!
